As Mother’s Day approaches, I have been thinking a lot about all the moms out there right now. It feels like a walk in the park that the only person I have to deal with at home is my husband (love you, babe!). Every once in a while, one of my cats knocks over a plant or gets her dirty paws on my new floor but being a cat mom is just not even comparable. So, in the midst of a global pandemic where social distancing and self-quarantining are familiar words, I wanted to share an “ODE to the Quarantine Moms!”:

My deep love, gratitude & support go out to all the:

• Moms who are serving in healthcare, on the frontlines, fighting COVID-19.
• Moms who are at home with a house full of kids-- trying to be wife, teacher, full-time employee, cook, all at once. (True saints I tell ya!)
• Moms who are delivering newborns in this pandemic- possibly without their spouse in the room.
• Moms who have lost their moms or other family members recently – to the virus or otherwise.
• Those who wish to be moms but can't for whatever reason.
• Moms who are worried about their kids who are serving on the frontlines
• Soon-to-be moms who are growing little ones in their bellies right now!
• Moms who have lost a child
• Single moms who have lost their job and are struggling to make ends meet.
• Moms with adult kids who miss having their kids near.
• Moms who just feel like a mess right now (It’s okay, I think we all do!)

It feels weirdly right to celebrate Mother’s Day in the midst of this public health crisis because moms are strong, faithful, nurturing, caring, loving, always fighting, persistent and bold – despite the circumstances. They are always being the best mom they can possibly be!
